Personalized dojo car decals: I will be taking orders for personalized car decals this month. The decal will have a kicker and the School name. Your child’s name will be on the bottom. It’s similar to decals for other sports. Cost per sticker will be $10. I have order sheets if you are interested.

 June Tournament results:

Congratulations to the following students who placed at their tournaments. Everyone did very well and I’m proud of all of you for a job well done.

June 14: Karate Challenge, Euclid, OH

Jacob Shepherd took home several awards including his first Forms Grand Championship, a first in weapons, first in forms and fourth in fighting.

June 21: Rising Star MA Tournament, Elma, NY:

Winners were: Derek Knapp – first in forms, Dave Colvin – second in forms, second in weapons and third in fighting, Josh Wolfe – Second in fighting, second in forms and third in weapons, Larry Ahn – second in fighting and second in forms,

The next tournaments I want to take everyone to are the American Shotokan Open in Meadville, Pa on Aug.2. There is also the Erie Open in Erie Pa Aug 22-23. Both take about an hour and a half to get there. For the traditional students, I’m going to the Empire Open in Syracuse, Ny July 25-26. Let me know if you want to go so you can start competition training. Check the board for other upcoming tournaments.

We’re moving: We will be moving the dojo to a new location in September to the building next to MacDonalds where 5M feeds used to be. The new address is 1 Market St. It’s a little larger and better laid out for our purposes. It also has its own parking area and is structurally better than our present location. Classes at the new dojo will begin on Monday Sept. 1. We will be moving on Saturday Aug 30. I may need help getting the new dojo ready (painting, building dressing rooms, etc)and on the moving day. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
