Belt Rank Requirements:
Below is the link for all the requirements for below Black Belt ranks (Kyu) for my school. I have 3 three colored belts below Black Belt, white, green and brown. They symbolize the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Students will earn strips on each belt for a total of 8 levels of Kyu rank. There is no set time frame for each belt advancement. Students are tested when they demonstrate skill proficiency along with proper attitude and effort. The more they practice, attend class regularily and exhibit effort, the faster they advance. Each student is urged to go at their own pace so that they thoroughly understand the material and physically and mentally progress through the ranks.
